I carefully edit and combine each interview to create a compelling audio piece. Many Audio Preserves follow a similar structure where participants introduce themselves, share distinct memories, reflect, share thanks and say goodbye. This general structure works well for most pieces, and am eager to work on pieces that break from this mold!
Hello
Hearing a familiar voice for the first time is powerful. Hearing a collection of friends and family say hello and introduce themselves is rare, emotional, and included in every Audio Preserve.
Friends and family retelling stories from their own perspectives is at the core of each Audio Preserve. Anecdotes and fond memories are a delight both when memories align as well as when they diverge.
Audio Preserves are a safe space, for people of all abilities, to say Thank You without interruption. Thank yous are often cited by interviewees as one of the most rewarding aspects of participating.
Similar to the beginning, Audio Preserves, conclude with farewells and wishes and a secret behind-the-scenes comment for those who listen through the goodbyes 😉
